| Southern Specialties was founded in 1990 by Robert Colescott. Robert was an associate in
the Pompano Beach, Florida company responsible for pioneering specialty fruits and vegetables from Central
America. Upon his employer's retirement, Robert started his own company.
Today, Southern Specialties is involved in growing, importing, processing, and marketing a wide range of fruits and vegetables from the United States, Central America, South America, Mexico and Canada. We maintain offices in Pompano Beach Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Buena Park California, McAllen Texas, Chile, Peru and Mexico.
Our customer list includes the best retail, wholesale, foodservice and wholesale club companies in
the United States and Canada. We offer them our commitment to food safety and customer service.
Southern Specialties is a far different company than it was in 1990. We maintain the same vision and
goals that have made us one of the premier specialty companies in the country. We owe our success to the
